Napa Head - 18in diameter, for 18in Surdo

Two ply black Napa drum head with nylon bottom ply and synthetic leather top. Fitted with strong aluminium, rim.

Napa drum heads produce a warm and almost muted timbre with very few overtones and a short sustain. These heads will generally produce a lower pitch than using a standard nylon head on the same diameter drum.

Napa heads are available for sizes 12", 14", 16" and 18" and we also have a single layer nylon head for the 12" and 18" sizes.  Both napa and nylon 12" heads will fit our 12" repeniques, caxias and surdos.
