Jumbie Jam - Beginner's Guide and Song Book

The Beginners Guide will help establish a solid foundation in playing technique, instrument care and effective practice habits.
It includes general instructions, music and historical/cultural information regarding the Steel Pan and its country of origin.

Songs in this guide are repetitive and use only a few pitches per song. This will acquaint you with the layout of your Jumbie Jam and help you concentrate on your technique.
Each song is presented in 2 ways - with traditional notation, and with note names so it is no necessary to be able to read music.
