Izzo Street Samba pack of 3 drums

This set of three nesting street Samba drums pack includes a 10" repinique and 14" and 16" Surdos. The set is great value and is the perfect addition to any samba band as well as a great starter set for clubs and small groups.

The 'Street Samba Drums Pack' produce a vibrant, powerful tone and are perfect for street parades, parties and festivals, as well as additions to samba kits in schools and music institutions.

The set is manufactured in Brazil by Samba specialists Izzo. The drums are made from aluminium, and are sturdy and lightweight, making them great for playing on the move, or even whilst dancing. Foam rubber feet are included for each drum, so that the drums can be played standing on the floor.

The drums fit (nest) conveniently inside one another, making them easy to transport and store.

Traditionally in a samba band the surdos provide a solid backbeat whilst the repinique provides a more flashy rhythmic interest, often with syncopated and polyrhythmic patterns. In Samba ensembles you will also often find snare drums such as the Caixa, as well as hand percussion, including agogo bells, shakers and whistles.
