The ‘Gamelan (Gangsa Pemadé) - Premium - Medium 10 key’ is a the middle pitched of the 10 key Gangsa instruments that we sell. There are often four Pemadé in a Gong Kebyar ensemble, two male and two female.
The Pemadé has a range of two octaves, and is played with a wooden mallet. It is an octave lower than the ‘Gamelan (Gangsa Kantilan) - Premium - Small 10 key’, and an octave higher than the ‘Gamelan (Gangsa Ugal) - Premium - Large 10 key’, ensuring a comfortable overlap across all three instruments in the range. Players often sit on the floor to play this instrument.
