Djembe Drum 9" diameter, 40cm high, wood - Deep Carved

Please Note: This 'deep carved djembe drum 9 inch', has a 8” playing head diameter (=/- 0.5”). The overall diameter of the djembe is approx 9”. Most other suppliers only quote the overall diameter, and so what they describe as '8” djembes' have 7” playing heads.

This is a top quality Djembe, easily carried and specially designed for serious, long term use in schools, clubs and drumming circles.

Each 9 inch djembe drum is turned from a single piece of mahogany and has professional quality, pre-stretched stringing and a thick, natural goatskin head for a long life and a mellow tone.

Other features which keep our standard Djembes ahead of the competition are the exclusive rubber base that protects both the drum and the floor and the extra smooth finishing inside and out (no splinters or rough edges) .

The ‘Djembe Drum - Standard - 8in diameter, 40cm high, deep carved’ is suitable for 5 years old upwards and big enough for two-handed drumming by children. The slap is hard and the bass very impressive for its size.

The beautiful 1cm deep carvings have been created by talented woodcarvers and are based on African imagery.

Rucksack-style carry bags, harnesses and belts are also available, which will enable you to get the most out of you Djembe on the go and protect it from a large amount of general wear and tear in transit.
